This were done last year for Game Salute's "Nothing Personal" board-game.
I had the chance to work with my buddy Paco Rico, we did all the card artwork for the main game, and Dann May did an awesome job with the box and card layout.
I had a lot of fun putting together this band of misfits, some are made up and some are portraits of pledgers from the kickstarter and the Game Salute crew.
I think it's a great looking game, the box came in the mail some months ago ...and man does it weigh! It's absolutely full with stuff, metal coins, counters, wooden gangsters, tuck-boxes...
This is what's been keeping me busy for the last few months! Nothing Personal, a Gangster themed board-game by Tom Vasel and Steve Avery.
It's been a lot of work and a lot of fun, counting the game and the expansion, I've done over 50 gangsters (I don't think I've ever done so many of anything in my life).
I didn't have a chance to post about the kickstarter campaign for the game because I was busy painting my gangsters, but it was a great success, stretch goals and all. But now there's a new kickstarter to fund a Nothing Personal bicycle card deck with the game's artwork. With the maximum pledge (70$) you can get the original game, the expansion and the bicycle deck, nice deal!
My beautiful and very busy girlfriend works at a tea shop, and from time to time I get to do funny doodles she later copies to the shop's blackboard. She's recently opened her own business too, an online store specialized in art conservation and restoration tools, and she lets me make some more silly pictures for banners and stuff. The baby reading Playboy is an invitation a friend asked me to do for the baptism of his nephew.
He tenido mucho trabajo estos últimos meses, y ya va siendo hora de actualizar.
El verano pasado me dio por probar a hacer pixel art, y el resultado fue el Sargento Stoneballs.
Espero que os guste, y en breve más!
I've been particularly busy for the last months, and the time for updates has come.
Last summer I did a couple of pixel art tests, the result was Sgt. Stoneballs, the greatest videogame character the world will NEVER now.
Enjoy, more to come soon!
